Bedeutung/Ursprung der Flagge: Meaning/Origin of the Flag:
Die Landesfarben von Schaumburg-Lippe sind wahrscheinlich vom Wappen der Reichsfürsten zu Schaumburg-Lippe abgeleitet. Dieses zeigt eine rote Rose auf weißem (silbernem) Grund, der wiederum durch eine Zickzackline von rotem Untergrund getrennt ist (Nesselblatt). Immerhin könnten so die Farben weiß und rot zu erklären sein, die eindeutig auf das Haus Lippe zurückgehen. Möglicherweise steht das Blau für das Schaumburger Erbe. The colors of the country Schaumburg-Lippe are probably derived from the coat of arms of the empire's princes of Schaumburg-Lippe, That shows a red rose on white (silvery) ground, which is separated by a zigzag line from a red undercoat (nettle leaf).
