The Arab League calls itself a political association. However, the flag of the organisation speaks a different language. The flag is solid green, the colour of Islam, and the symbol of the organisation in the centre is dominated by a white crescent, the symbol of Islam, and by the lettering of the Shahada, the creed of Islam. The round is surrounded by a chain representing cohesion and a wreath of branches.
