Die Flagge von Arkansas wurde am 10.04.1924 eingeführt. Sie zeigt ein rotes Flaggentuch mit einer weißen, blauumrandeten Raute. Im blauen Rand der Raute befinden sich 25 weiße Sterne. Im Inneren der Raute der Name des Landes und vier blaue Sterne. Die Gestaltung der Flagge soll an die Battle-Flag der Südstaaten (CSA) erinnern. Die 25 weißen Sterne stehen dafür, das Arkansas als 25. Staat den USA beigetreten ist. Die blauen Sterne stehen für die Konföderierten Staaten von Amerika (CSA), für Spanien, Frankreich und die USA, Länder zu denen Arkansas gehörte bzw. noch immer gehört.	The flag of Arkansas was introduced on 10th of April in 1924. It shows a red bunting with a white, blue bordered diamond. The blue border of the diamond contains 25 white stars. Inside the diamond is placed the name of the country and four blue stars. The design of the flag should remember the battle flag of the South (CSA). The 25 white stars symbolize that Arkansas joined the United States as 25th. The blue stars stand for the Confederate States of America (CSA), for Spain, France and the USA, countries which Arkansas belonged to or belongs until today.
