Flag of Acadia,
Source, by:
Wikipedia (EN)
The Acadian flag represents the homeland of the Francophones of northern and eastern New Brunswick, and those few who remain in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. A few of them stayed in the country after the deportations by the British in 1755. The vetriated French settled in the today's Louisiana, in a landscape what is called Akadiana. The flag of Acadia is the French tricolor, in its upper corner complemented by a golden star. This stands for the Holy Virgin Mary. The flag was introduced in 1884, modeled after the flag of France.
