The flag of the UPU shows the globe, surrounded by five symbol-figures (they stand for the five importantst human races) which every holds a letter in it's hand, and gives him to the respective right neighbour. The bunting is UN pale-blue. It is azure-blue and is defined as follows: Hex #4B92DB, RGB 75|146|219, CMYK 71|37|0|0, Pantone 279.

The UPU was established on the 1st of June in 1878 as Universal Postal Convention, and is since 1948 a special organization of the UN. The UPU has it's seat in Bern. The supreme organ is the Wold Postal Congress. The UPU regulates internationally:
