Meaning/Origin of the Flag

The alleged flag of the Kumanian Empire shows a blue bunting with a silvery or dark gray wolf head in it. Blue is the national colour of the Turks and Mongols respectively even of the Tatars. The wolf symbol played obviously a big role, because it was taken over from the Islamic culture and it is maintained until doday at the Gagauzian people. (→ Gagauzia)
