Die Panamakanalzone
hatte keine eigene Flagge, es wurde die Flagge der USA verwendet, aber immerhin gab es ein
eigenes Siegel. Der Gouverneur der Kanalzone hatte eine spezielle Flagge. Sie war blau und zeigte auf
einer weißen Scheibe das Siegel der Panamakanalzone. Dies war ein Wappenschild, der im
Schildhaupt dem Brustschild des US-Adlers nachempfunden ist. Der zentrale Teil des
Schildes zeigte eine Karavelle, die den Kanal durchfährt. Im Hintergrund die aufgehende
Sonne. Unterhalb ein blaues Spruchband mit dem Motto: "The Land divided the World
united" => "Das Land geteilt die Welt vereint".
The Panama Canal Zone
had not an own flag – it was in use the flag of the USA – but after all there
was an own seal. The Governor
of the Canal Zone had an special flag. It was blaue und showed on a white disk the seal of
the Panama Canal Zone. This was a blazon which was in the head of the shield similar to
the chest-shield of the US-eagle. The central part of the shield showed a sailing ship
which passes the canal. In the background the rising sun.
Below a blue banner with the motto: "The Land divided the World united".
