  • 1951 von den nordischen Ländern Dänemark, Norwegen, Schweden, Faroe Islands, Ålandinseln und Island (seit 1952) eingerichtetes zwischenstaatliches Organ zur Zusammenarbeit auf wirtschaftlichem, kulturellem und sozialpolitischem Gebiet. 1955 erfolgte noch der Beitritt von Finnland.

  • in 1951 by the nordic countries
    Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Färöer, Aaland Islands and Iceland (seit 1952) established interstate organ for cooperation in economic, cultural and social political affairs.
    Finland also joined in 1955.
