Die Flagge von Montana wurde am 07.09.1905 eingeführt. Sie zeigt ein einfarbig blaues Grundtuch und in der Mitte, auf einer Scheibe, die wichtigsten Elemente des Staatssiegels. Darüber, seit 1981, der Name des Landes.	The flag of Montana, was introduced on 7th of September in 1905. It shows a plain blue bunting and in the middle, on a disk, the main elements of the state seal. Furthermore, since 1981, above the name of the country.
Sie geht auf eine im Jahr 1898 von Oberst Harry C. Kessler eingeführte Militärflagge zurück.	It has its roots in an in 1898 by Colonel Harry C. Kessler introduced military flag.
Das Staatssiegel wurde 1865 geschaffen und zeigt die grüne Landschaft Montanas mit den Missouri Wasserfällen und den Rocky Mountains, dazu einen Pflug, eine Schaufel und eine Hacke, Hinweise auf Landwirtschaft und den Abbau von Bodenschätzen. Im Vordergrund ein Spruchband mit dem (spanischen) Motto des Landes: "Oro y Plata" => "Gold und Silber". Montana war zwischen 1763 und 1800 eine spanische Kolonie.	The state seal was created in 1865 and shows the green landscape of Montana with the Missouri Falls and the Rocky Mountains, furthermore a plow, a shovel and a hoe, references to agriculture and the mining of mineral resources. In the foreground a banner with the (Spanish) motto of the country: "Oro y Plata" => "Gold and Silver". Montana was from 1763 to 1800 a Spanish colony.
