Die heutige Flagge Vietnams wurde am 02.07.1976, im Zusammenhang mit der Vereinigung von Nord- und Südvietnam, offiziell über ganz Vietnam gehisst. Es ist eigentlich die Flagge von Nordvietnam. Sie ist einfarbig rot und zeigt einen gelben fünfzackigen Stern in der Mitte. Rot ist die Farbe des Kommunismus, steht aber auch für die Revolution. Der fünfzackige Stern steht für die Einheit von Jugend, Soldaten, Arbeitern, Bauern und Intellektuellen, und er symbolisiert den Sozialismus. | The today's flag of
Vietnam was hoisted over whole Vietnam on 2nd of July in 1976, on the occasion of the
unification of North and South Vietnam. It is actually the flag of North Vietnam. It is single-colored red and shows a yellow five-pointed star in the middle. Red is the color of communism, but stands also for the revolution. The five-pointed star represents the unity of youth, soldiers, workers, peasants and intellectuals, and it symbolizes furthermore the socialism. |
Die Flagge der seit 1940 gegen die japanischen Okkupanten kämpfenden Viet-Minh-Verbände (rot mit gelbem Stern) wurde als Flagge der am 29.09.1945 ausgerufenen demokratischen Republik Vietnam übernommen. Nach der französischen Intervention (1946) wehte die Viet-Minh-Flagge jedoch lediglich im vom Frankreich unbesetzten, vor allem nördlichen Teil von Vietnam. Nach der Genfer Indochinakonferenz wurde die Flagge der Viet-Minh am 30.11.1955 für das kommunistische Nordvietnam bestätigt. | The flag of the since
1940 against the Japanese invaders fighting Viet Minh units (red with a yellow star) was
adopted as flag of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on 29th of September in 1946. After the French intervention (1945) the Viet Minh flag was only in use in the by France unoccupied, especially northern part of Vietnam. According to the Geneva Indochina Conference, the flag of the Viet Minh was confirmed for the communist North Vietnam on 30th of November in 1955. |

Am 15.01.2015 wurde eine Marineflagge eingeführt, die sich in ihrer Gestaltung an der Marineflagge der Sowjetunion orientiert. Sie zeigt zwei horizontale Streifen in Weiß und Blau, im Verhältnis 4:1, und der obere breite weiße Streifen zeigt in der Mitte das Abzeichen der Marine, mit der Inschrift: "HÀI QUÂN VIÊT NAM". | On 15th

Das Staatswappen wurde am 21.07.1956 (zunächst nur für Nordvietnam) eingeführt, jedoch am 02.07.1976 mit einem neuem Landesnamen auf dem Schriftband für ganz Vietnam übernommen. Rot steht für die Revolution, der Reiskranz repräsentiert die Landwirtschaft und das Zahnrad die Industrie. Kranz und Zahnrad versinnbildlichen das Bündnis zwischen Arbeitern und Bauern. Der fünfzackige Stern steht für die Einheit von Jugend, Soldaten, Arbeitern, Bauern und Intellektuellen, und er symbolisiert den Sozialismus. Das Design des Wappens ist vom Wappen Chinas inspiriert. | The coat of arms of the
state was adopted on 21st of July in 1956 (initially only for North Vietnam), but was
taken over for whole Vietnam on 2nd of July in 1976 with a new name of the state written
on the banner. Red stands for revolution, the rice wreath represents the agriculture and the gear represents the industry. Rice wreath and gear and symbolize the alliance between workers and peasants. The five-pointed star represents the unity of youth, soldiers, workers, peasants and intellectuals, and it symbolizes socialism. The design of the emblem is inspired by the emblem of China. |
