| Über die Flaggengeschichte von Perlis ist nichts bekannt. Wahrscheinlich verwendete dieses Sultanat in früheren Jahren ebenfalls eine einfarbige rote Flagge, wie alle benachbarten Sultanate die unter dem Einfluss des Sultanats Aceh standen. Die heutige Flagge dürfte aus dem 19. Jahrhundert stammen und zeigt zwei horizontale Streifen in Gelb und Blau. Die Flagge des Sultans von Perlis ist Gelb mit einem grünen Schild in der Mitte. Die arabischen Schriftzeichen auf dem Schil lauten: "Perlis". Gelbe Flaggen verwenden sonst nur die Sultane der Malaiischen Staaten Kedah und Selangor, denn eigentlich repräsentiert in den Malaiischen Staaten die Farbe Weiß den Sultan. | About the flag-history of Perlis
is nothing known. Probably used this Sultanate in earlier years likewise a single-coloured
red flag, like all neighbouring Sultanates which stood under the influence of the
Sultanate of Aceh. The today's flag should have been descended from the 19th century and shows two horizontal stripes in yellow and blue. The flag of the Sultan of Perlis is yellow with a green shield in the middle. The Arabic characters in the middle of the shield mean: "Perlis". Yellow flags use otherwise only the Sultans of the Malay States Kedah and Selangor, but really represents the color white the Sultan in the Malay states. |
