• Geschichte:
  Die Küste Istriens wurde im 13. Jahrhundert venezianischer Besitz. Das Landesinnere wurde im Jahre 1335 Habsburgischer Besitz und im Jahre 1797 schließlich auch die Küste. Später wurde Istrien Kronland des Kaiserreichs Österreich und Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts mit den Kronländern Triest und Görz/Gradisca verwaltungstechnisch zum Kronland Küstenland zusammengefasst. In Folge des 1.Weltkrieges wurde das Gebiet der Markgrafschaft Istrien gemäß dem Vertrag von Saint-Germain (10.09.1919) von Österreich an Italien abgetreten und als Provinz "Istria" Italien angeschlossen.
  In Folge des 2.Weltkrieges musste Italien im Jahre 1947 die Provinz "Istria" an Jugoslawien (heute Slowenien/Kroatien) abtreten.

  The coast of Istria became in the 13th century an estate of Venice. The hinterland became in the year 1335 an Habsburgian estate and in 1797 finally even the coast.
  Later Istria became a Kronland ("crown's land") of the Empire of Austria and got governmental summarized with the crown's lands Triest and Goerz/Gradisca at the end of the 19th century to the crown's land of Coastal Land. In result of the 1st World War got the territory of the Margrave's County of Istria ceded from Austria to Italy in accordance with the treaty of Saint-Germain (10.09.1919) and added to Italy as Province of "Istria". In result of the 2nd World War Italy has to cede the province "Istria" to Yugoslavia (nowadays Slovenia/Croatia) in the year 1947.
